Spurs in South Africa 12/07/2011

In case you have been living in a hole and don't know: Tottenham Hotspur will be around shortly to have a kickabout with Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

Game one is at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane on Saturday, Jul 16 2011, kickoff at 15H00. Spurs then play games at Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit on Tuesday, Jul 19 2011, kickoff at 20H15 and Coca - Cola Park (Ellis Park), Johannesburg on Saturday, Jul 23 2011, kickoff at 15H00. Last I checked some tickets were still available through Computicket.

The unofficial official seating for Spurs Fans is as follows. Coca Cola Park: block W7, but if that is full then W4, 5, 6 or 8. Nelspruit Mbombela stadium: Blocks A1 and A28. Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane: Blocks 104,106, 108. Thanks to Wayne and Ralph for the guidance there. Iíll be sitting in W6 at Coca-Cola Park, A1 West Lower at Mombela and Blue Block 106 at Peter Mokaba. See you all there!

Anyone worried because they cannot find seats with other spurs fans please donít be nervous. On the last tour the local opposition fans were fun and amazing and friendly- I encountered no club animosity whatsoever.

Between this website and facebook we will try to help co-ordinate some get-togethers with the traveling fans and let you know of opportunities to meet the players or attend training days.

I will no longer be able to send group emails from Friday as I will be away from my office computer with the mailing list and on the road tailing the team. I will, however, be updating the website with new information from my Netbook and all new info will be posted on the Spursfans forums on facebook (link on the right).

The new kit will not be out by tour time but I am told other Spurs memorabilia will be on sale at the games.

A reminder to folks who sign up for the Mailing List that because we send a bulk email your spam filter might grab it. Make a point of whitelisting spursfans.co.za to prevent this from happening.
